Terms of Service

By accessing our website, creating an account, booking a lesson, or using a Combo Tutors Academy service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are booking for a student under 18, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, or have authority to act for them.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Combo Tutors Academy provides individually matched online tutoring for subjects and programmes including IB, A-Level, IGCSE, GCSE, CBSE, SAT, ACT, and AP. Sessions are delivered online, so matching is based on the student's subject, curriculum, academic level, learning needs, and availability rather than location alone.

We manage tutor matching, scheduling support, billing, and the learning platform. A tutor recommendation depends on suitable specialist availability, and we may offer an alternative where the requested tutor or schedule is unavailable.

You may need an account to access bookings, lesson information, resources, homework, feedback, or other platform features. You must provide accurate information and keep your contact details up to date.

You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity under your account. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. A parent or legal guardian must create or authorise an account for a user under 18.

Submit lesson requests through our website, platform, or an approved communication channel. We normally aim to recommend a suitable tutor within 24 hours after receiving the student's subject, curriculum, level, goals, and preferred times, but this is not guaranteed.

Lesson times are agreed according to the mutual availability of the family and tutor. A booking is confirmed when we or the assigned tutor confirm the agreed date and time. Changes remain subject to tutor availability and the cancellation rules below.

There are no compulsory fixed tutoring packages. We record the paid sessions and hours used and issue an invoice based on actual usage, normally at the end of each month. The applicable hourly rate depends on the subject, curriculum level, specialist requirements, and tutor experience, and is confirmed before the first paid lesson.

Fees may be shown in the local currency used on the relevant country page, including GBP, AED, SAR, QAR, KWD, BHD, OMR, or HKD. Your invoice states the currency, amount, payment method, and due date. You remain responsible for fees for completed lessons and chargeable late cancellations.

• A paid lesson cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled at no additional charge.
• A paid lesson cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice is non-refundable and may be charged in full because the time was reserved for the tutor.
• A no-show without notice is non-refundable and cannot normally be rescheduled.
• If Combo Tutors Academy or the tutor cancels a paid lesson, you may reschedule or receive a refund or credit for that lesson.
• Genuine emergencies may be reviewed individually at our discretion.

Students, parents, tutors, and staff must communicate respectfully and use the service only for lawful educational purposes. Abusive, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, sexually inappropriate, dishonest, or unsafe conduct is not permitted.

We may suspend or end access to lessons, accounts, or platform features where conduct creates a safety, safeguarding, legal, or service risk. Fees already due remain payable, and any refund will be considered under the Refund Policy and applicable law.

Where recording is enabled, we will provide notice before a session is recorded. Recordings may be used for lesson review, quality assurance, safeguarding, support, or another clearly stated educational purpose. For a student under 18, recording is subject to appropriate parent or guardian notice and authority.

Access to a recording is limited to authorised people who need it for the stated purpose. Recordings are handled under our Privacy Policy. Users must not independently record, publish, or share a lesson without prior permission from everyone whose consent is required.

Website and platform content, including text, graphics, branding, software, and academy-created resources, belongs to Combo Tutors Academy or the relevant rights holder and is protected by intellectual property law.

Lesson materials shared with you are for the student's personal educational use. You must not copy, publish, distribute, sell, license, upload, or commercially reuse them without written permission. Students retain ownership of their original work, subject to any rights needed for us and the assigned tutor to deliver the service.

We aim to present tutor credentials, testimonials, prices, and performance information accurately. Statistics and grade-improvement figures reflect the methodology and information available when published and may be based on internal tracking or a defined group of students.

Tutoring supports learning but does not guarantee a particular grade, examination result, school place, scholarship, university offer, or admission outcome. Results depend on factors including attendance, starting level, effort, engagement, school teaching, assessment conditions, and examination performance. Contact us if you would like clarification about a particular claim or tutor credential.

We provide tutoring and platform services with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, or for disruption caused by a user's device, internet connection, third-party service, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or a consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies where you live. If a provision conflicts with a right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, that mandatory right takes priority to the extent of the conflict.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, protect, and retain personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used. Both policies form part of the information provided to you when you use our website and services.

These terms and any non-contractual obligations connected with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, this does not prevent you from relying on mandatory protections or bringing proceedings in another court where the law applicable to you gives you that right. In other cases, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly.

We may update these terms when our services, prices, providers, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Where a change materially affects an active tutoring arrangement, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice before it applies.

A price change will not alter fees for lessons already completed or invoiced. If you continue to book or use paid services after revised terms take effect, the revised terms will apply to those future services.
